Our Core Team
Ian Gooden
Chairman
Ian joined Chiumento in 2008 and took over leading the business in 2013. He is also Chairman of our parent company, Aldeburgh Holdings. Ian’s role is primarily future focused – leading on strategy and ensuring that Chiumento evolves to meet changing market demands and business conditions. He remains an active talent management consultant and executive coach working with UK and international clients. A Chartered Member of CIPD, his background includes in-house HR roles as well as working for a global talent consultancy.
Mike Burgneay
Managing Director
Mike joined Chiumento in 2011 with deep expertise in HR consulting, including talent attraction, employer branding, and career transition. As Managing Director, he is dedicated to client success and oversees personalised solutions across sectors. Mike also serves as Global Chair of Arbora Careers Firms, an international network of outplacement and coaching companies.
Duncan Hamilton
Chief Technology Officer
Duncan has been with Chiumento since 2010. As Chief Technology & Innovation Officer, he oversees all technology adoption, including internal and external systems. He drives the technology strategy and IT development, managing operations with third-party suppliers, contractors, and freelancers. Duncan focuses on leveraging emerging technologies to enhance user experiences for clients and delegates.
Lesley Colella
Head of Operations
Lesley joined Chiumento’s HR Recruitment team in 2011, bringing 14 years of experience from a high street recruitment brand. After transitioning to the Career Transition delivery team in 2018, she ensures delegates receive comprehensive support from our experts and our clients, excellent service, at all times.
Mandy Alden
Operations Assistant
Mandy joined Chiumento in 2023, following a 20-year career with a major British multinational insurance company. Her experience includes managing corporate commission accounts, people development, staff recruitment, and training, as well as serving as a point of contact for large corporate pension clients.
Marion Aspey
Finance Assistant
Marion joined Chiumento in April 2003 and manages a wide range of financial responsibilities. Her role encompasses everything from sales and purchase ledger tasks to producing powerful and insightful management information. She also manages a wide range of supplier relationships from office supplies to corporate travel.
Iona Lillicrap
Digital Marketing Executive
Iona joined Chiumento in 2024, bringing a vibrant background in design as a freelance illustrator and marketer, along with experience as a Product Manager for a leading educational training brand. A 2020 AUB graduate with a BA Hons in Illustration, Iona is enthusiastic about digital strategy and marketing.
